The Talland Quartet will take part in a masterclass with the Calidore Quartet, who have travelled to our chamber music festival from the US.
The students, from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, will perform a piece or large section of a piece and then receive advice from the tutors on a range of subjects from technique to interpretation.
The audience has the chance to see learning in action. You will discover how performers think on stage, and listen in on the conversations that ensembles need to have when practising bring a work from the page to the stage.
This class, in Bantry Courthouse, will focus on Beethoven Quartet in A minor Op.132

MASTERCLASSES A masterclass is a high-level tutoring session for selected high level students, which is open to the public to come and watch. If you need to leave during the workshop, just wait for a good moment so as not to disrupt the class!
