The Italian influence
Four members of the Irish Baroque Orchestra’s Apprentice scheme have teamed up with harpsichordist Laoise McMullin to work on a series of short works from 17th century and early 18th century composers from Italy, England and the German states.
Their programme, performed here as part of the West Cork Chamber Music Festival’s Young Musicians Series, will include well-known works by Purcell, Vivaldi, Handel and Telemann.
YOUNG MUSICIANS SERIES Featuring the ensembles participating in the Masterclass Programme, this series takes place most afternoons at 2pm. Lasting only an hour, it is the perfect concert to take young people to.
