Michael Waldron

Dr Michael Waldron is a curator, art historian, and writer. Funded by the Irish Research Council (Research Ireland), his doctoral thesis at University College Cork focused on the work of Elizabeth Bowen. He has previously worked on the interdisciplinary project, Deep Maps: West Cork Coastal CulturesIn 2019, he initiated LGBTQ+ tours and trails at Crawford Art Gallery, where he is Curator of Collections & Special Projects. His exhibitions include Recasting Canova, Laura Fitzgerald: I have made a placeand Harry Clarke: Bad Romance and he has published in Irish Arts ReviewPaper Visual ArtIrish University Review, and The Routledge Companion to Irish Art. He is also Deputy Chair of Sample-Studios.
