Morgan Andersen
After graduating from The Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City, Morgan Andersen spent 1978 and 1979 learning the basics of bow making with Frank Passa in San Francisco, then returned his native Pacific Northwest in 1980. He is an Hors Concours member of the Violin Society of America, having won his gold medals in the 1986 and 1988 VSA competitions. Additionally, he won the Grand Prix for violin bow in the 2011 Etienne Vatelot City of Paris Competition. He is a member of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers and served on the board of governors of IPCI-USA for fifteen years. He still resides in Washington state.
