Michael Dervan talks to 1st Violinists from two Festival Quartets
The West Cork Chamber Music Festival has always had a special place for string quartets and each year invites 4 spectacular professional quartets to perform some of the best music in the chamber music genre.
This year the Festival welcomes back the Pacifica Quartet, and also welcomes the Armida Quartet, the Ardeo Quartet and the Ragazze Quartet.
Irish Times critic Michael Dervan spoke to the first violinists from two exciting young quartets featured in this year’s Festival. Both quartets are performing exciting programmes of old favourites and new works.
