Join veteran globetrotter and famous wild camper Phoebe Smith as she tells us all about her ‘wild’ life with excerpts from her books Extreme Sleeps: Adventures of a Wild Camper, Wild Nights: Camping Britain's Extremes and Book of the Bothy.

In Extreme Sleeps Phoebe sets out to prove that outdoor adventures are available in the UK which rival anything found elsewhere in the world. In this sometimes scary, frequently funny and intriguing journey around her home country, Phoebe attempts to discover and conquer its wildest places. From spending the night in the decaying wreckage of a World War Two bomber at Bleaklow to pitching next to the adrenaline-inducing sheer drops of Lizard Point, Phoebe’s extreme sleeps defy her perceptions of the great outdoors and teach her about herself along the way.

Wild Nights sees Phoebe determined to discover what defines a truly ‘extreme’ night out. To see if she has the guts to do it, she heads to the extremities of the country. Battling whiteouts in Wales, facing monster waves in Suffolk and attempting to make camp in gale-force winds on Britain’s highest mountain, Phoebe takes us on a series of inspirational expeditions into the wilderness as she quests to find the ultimate pitch.
